The Best-Kept Secret for Better Fairway Play.
Most companies - especially OEMs - perform all their wood shaft product testing on their driver shafts. They then simply recommend a tip trimming operation to enable the use of those driver shafts for fairway woods. Hardly a sound nor logical approach to optimizing the performance of any fairway wood.
Fairway wood heads are smaller, heavier and have other unique design parameters that deserve careful consideration - and shafts that are designed and tested specifically for those heads. That is and has always been our approach.
The new Xcaliber RT Fairway Golf Shaft is designed specifically for fairway woods heads and tested as vigorously as-is our wood driver shafts. The Xcaliber Fairway wood shafts has stiffer upper/middle sections and a slightly softer lower section than the Xcaliber Wood Golf Shafts. This specific distribution of stiffness compensates for the smaller, heavier heads and allows a golfer to easily get a ball airborne from any lie with greater accuracy.
The versatile RT Fairway Wood Golf Shaft fits players with driver swing speeds from 80-100+ mph with medium to medium-quick tempos and transitions.
The slower-swinging golfer can expect a medium to high launch angle. The faster-swinging golfer with a quicker transition and tempo can expect a medium to a slightly low launch angle. However you swing, the RT Fairway Wood Golf Shaft reduces excessive spin to maximize distance.
